Min asks Russian banks to retain interests on loans for farmers
MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev has asked the key Russian banks not to worsen the lending conditions to farmers, including interest, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
“In order to ensure the country’s food security and an uninterrupted supply of food to the people amid the large-scale spread of the coronavirus disease, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev has sent requests to the key Russian banks asking them not to worsen the lending conditions, including retaining the interest rates on loans for large, medium and small farm producers and food processing facilities,” the statement read.
The minister also asked the banks to ensure uninterrupted lending to farmers and instant restructuring and prolongation of their loans.
